JSV Consulting
Version 1.0 · Effective 14 October 2026
JSV Consulting is a trading name of JS Visser, a sole proprietor based in South Africa. These terms apply to the services we provide through https://www.jsvconsulting.co.za/ and by email, telephone or in person.
South African contact: Petro Rieckert, Director of SA Operations and Compliance, Petro@jsvconsulting.co.za, +27 (0)72 688 1525. General enquiries: info@jsvconsulting.co.za. Address: 920 De Villebois Mareuil Dr, Moreleta Park, Pretoria, 0044, South Africa.
We serve clients in South Africa only.
We help South African businesses with:
CIDB contractor registration, upgrades, renewals and annual updates
IAF-accredited ISO certification support, including design and implementation work linked to certification
JSV Consulting operates in line with the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISO 42001 and Cyber Essentials. We do not claim that JSV Consulting itself is certified or compliant under those schemes.
We do not publish prices on the website. Every engagement starts with an individual quote. A quote is an offer for the scope described in it. It is valid for the period stated on the quote, or 30 days if no period is stated.
If you accept a quote, the invoice is payable in full on acceptance. We start work once payment is received. Unless the quote says otherwise, fees cover our advisory and submission support only. Statutory fees charged by the CIDB, a certification body or any other authority are separate and payable by you.
CIDB grades and ISO certification decisions rest with the CIDB and the relevant certification body alone. We prepare and submit applications and supporting material with care. We apply for the highest grading possible for your eligibility. The CIDB alone decides the outcome.
ISO certification work typically takes 4–8 weeks from kick-off. That is a typical timescale, not a promise. Delays at your end, at the certification body or from missing documents can extend the timeline.
Annual surveillance audits and renewals are not included in an initial certification engagement. We quote for those separately, usually about 3 months before they are due.
You agree to:
provide complete, accurate and up-to-date documents and information when we ask for them
tell us promptly if anything material changes (for example company details, financials, ownership or works classes)
pay statutory and third-party fees when they fall due
respond to requests from the CIDB, a certification body or us within any deadlines they set
If incomplete or inaccurate information causes delay, rejection or extra work, that is your responsibility. We may charge a reasonable fee for rework that sits outside the original quote, after we have told you first.
We treat everything you share with us as confidential. That includes personal information and privileged or commercially sensitive material such as tender documents, pricing, financial records and audit findings. We will not disclose it to anyone outside our team unless you agree, unless it is needed to deliver the work you asked for (for example passing documents to the certification body or the CIDB) or unless the law requires it. Anyone who works on your file is bound by the same duty, and the duty continues after our work for you ends.
We use AI tools to help draft and check documents. We only use paid, business or enterprise versions of these services, set to the highest security settings they offer. Your information is never used to train AI models. Our agreements with these providers rule it out and we do not allow it.
Every AI tool we use is preloaded with verified information, such as current CIDB regulations, the relevant standards and documents you have approved. It works from that material and nothing else.
A member of our team checks every AI output before it is sent to you or submitted on your behalf. Nothing goes out unchecked.
We do our best for every client and work in line with the requirements of applicable legislation, regulatory requirements and our confidentiality (non-disclosure) commitments.
However, decisions and processing times rest entirely with the CIDB and the certification bodies. For that reason we accept no liability for the outcome of any application, assessment or certification, or for the time it takes.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that cannot be excluded by law.
Once we have started work, fees paid are non-refundable. Instead, we will keep compiling and submitting as many applications as it takes, for a period of up to 2 years from the start of the work, unless we agree otherwise in writing. Depending on the circumstances, we may offer a credit towards future services up to the value of the fees paid. Whether we do so is entirely at our discretion. Statutory fees paid to third parties are never refundable by us.
We handle personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA), including its security safeguards (section 19).
When you ask for an estimate or engage our services, we use your information to provide what you asked for, to manage the engagement and to keep necessary records. We do this with your consent and because you asked for information or services before deciding whether to use us, or because we need the information to perform the contract (POPIA section 11(1)(a) and (b)).
For website estimate enquiries: we use your answers only to work out the estimate and email it to you with our company profile. We do not keep your answers. We keep your email address, whether you confirmed it and the month you contacted us, so we can follow up your enquiry. We keep this record for 12 months, or 3 months if you did not confirm your address, and then delete it. Our systems run on Google services, so your email address may be stored on servers outside South Africa under Google's data protection terms.
You can ask to see or delete your record at any time by emailing Petro Rieckert at Petro@jsvconsulting.co.za. You can also complain to the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).
A fuller privacy notice may be published on the website. If there is any difference between a short notice on a form and this section, the more specific notice for that form applies to that enquiry.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on the website on the date you accept a quote is the version that applies to that engagement, unless we agree something different in writing.
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa. The South African courts have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights you have under the CPA.
Questions about these terms: Petro Rieckert, Petro@jsvconsulting.co.za, +27 (0)72 688 1525, or info@jsvconsulting.co.za.
